The Full Moon in August focuses on magick involving writing, poetry, creativity, the 5 th Chakra,
singing, music, creative arts, performers, artists, psychic abilities, perfecting magickal abilities,
honoring marriage, the home, housing, family, wiccaning ceremonies, priestessing/priesting,
croning/wizarding, creating new spells, religious freedom, healing of the soul, creating perfumes,
creating incenses, faery magick, protecting the earth and the resources, playing games of skills
and of chance, protecting animals, fantasies, expanding the imagination, gratitude to both God
and Goddess, and removing negativity and bad memories.

August Ritual
(Brown)

Magickal Intention: This is a ritual to bless the home and all the people within it.
Time: The Full Moon in August, Sun hour
Tools: One brown candle, Hearthside oil, House Blessing incense, and Marriage Mind Bath
Salts. Create a favorite meal of your choosing. You will also need pinches of loosestrife, lovage,
basil, marjoram, marigold, and parsley.
Instructions: Create the family’s favorite meal. Take a bath in Marriage Mind bath salts to
solidify the marriage/bond of the family unit. Anoint the brown candle with Hearthside oil. Light
the candle. Add the loosestrife, lovage, basil, marjoram, marigold, and parsley to the incense.
Recite the incantation over the incense and light it. Suffumigate each of the chairs before the
family sits down with the incense in deosil motion. Before the meal begins, make sure each
person holds hands with one another to create a bonded circle for thanks or just to acknowledge
the solidity of the family before the meal begins to activate the magick.

Incantation:
“Swirled with love both deep and true,
Peace and joy in all we do.

Family held safe in warmth and light.

Highest Potential Time to Create Formula: Waxing Sunday, Sun hour
Oil Recipe: Equal parts of Patchouli, Musk, and Carnation oils blended into a carrier oil.
2.) Instructions for Making House Blessing Incense:
Highest Potential Time to Create Formula: Waxing Sunday, Sun hour
Incense Recipe: Equal parts of powdered Juniper, Basil, Vanilla, Frankincense, Geranium, Rose,
Bergamot, and Jasmine, 1 part Charcoal, 2 teaspoons Table salt, and 1 teaspoon of Saltpeter
blended into a bamba wood base.
3.) Instructions for Making Marriage Mind Bath Salts: Equal parts of Rose, Sandalwood,
Saffron, Lily of the Valley, Chamomile, Carnation, and Neroli oils blended into Epsom’s salts
and Sea salt mixture. Mix well.
